Sometimes we look at an old install and shake our heads wondering "What were they thinking?!" This bathroom in East Norriton, PA had a space for the bathtub, but the tub was actually short of reaching the wall so naturally this allowed water to escape beyond the tub. The solution would have been to tile a horizontal surface back to the edge of the tub, but there was no water proofing installed.

Another issue was the shower door that was only the size of the tub, so there was a rather large gap between the door and the wall that was being covered by a shower curtain, not surprisingly this solution really didn't help to keep water contained.

So after being like that for 20 plus years it was time to fix it right with Drumm Design Remodel! After repairing the water damage we framed out a small section of wall so a standard tub would fit and be waterproofed properly. New tile was installed throughout the bathroom, including baseboard tile. A new vanity with granite top was installed along with new faucets, mirrors and lights. Finally Drumm Design Remodel installed a new shower door that fit properly, keeping all of the water in the tub.
