This small kitchen in Telford, PA was in desperate need of a remodel, there was very limited work and storage space. The homeowners lived with the space as long as possible including having Drumm Design Remodel install a custom pattern tile floor. When the kitchen was gutted it was discovered that the outside wall of the kitchen was about 2-1/2" out of plumb from the floor to ceiling. The decision was made to leave the existing framing and pack out the wall to be plumb. New cabinets were installed, during the design the layout was maximized for work and storage space without moving any of the existing walls. On the long wall a few glass front doors were added and cabinets spaced away from the wall for some visual interest. There was also a small "office nook" designed into the space with a roll door to hide bills and charging cell phones out of view. Some of the other space saving features include a pull out spice drawer, trash and recycle bins, silverware organizer and plastic bag holder under the sink cabinet. Additional overhead recessed lighting as well as under cabinet lighting were added to brighten the space. Granite counters along with glass and tile back splash tile were installed to finish up the renovation.
